CINCINNATI – Freedom Way will be closed between Race and Rosa Parks streets from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, April 22, so crews may pour concrete for a parking garage under construction at The Banks.
Motorists heading east on Freedom Way will be detoured north at Race, east on Second, south on Rosa and east again on Freedom Way. Motorists heading west on Freedom Way will be detoured north on Rosa Parks/Vine, west on Third, south on Race and west on Freedom.
Detour signage will be posted.
On-street parking will be prohibited along this stretch of Freedom Way during the closure. In addition, sidewalks on both sides of the street will be closed. Detour signage will direct pedestrians via Second Street.
This work is part of Phase IIIA infrastructure improvements at The Banks, which include the creation of 690 parking spaces and a one-block extension of Race Street south of Freedom Way.
The project is slated to finish by the end of 2016.
