CINCINNATI – Race Street will be closed starting at approximately 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, between Findlay Street and McMicken until approximately 4:30 p.m. for the delivery of the second streetcar vehicle at the Maintenance and Operations Facility (MOF) in Over-the-Rhine. In addition, Henry Street will be closed between Elm and Race.
The flatbed tractor-trailer carrying the streetcar will travel north on Race via Liberty Street. It is expected to arrive at Race and Liberty at approximately 3:00 p.m.
The City will update the arrival time via Twitter as more precise information is received.
Law enforcement will proceed in front and behind the flatbed as a safety measure to alert motorists and pedestrians. There will be brief closures along Liberty and Race streets as the streetcar travels though intersections.
On-street parking will be restricted along Race for the delivery.
It will take approximately 90 minutes for the streetcar to unload onto the tracks adjacent to the MOF at 1927 Race Street.
Streets will be reopened after the streetcar is unloaded and delivered into the MOF.
