CINCINNATI - All lanes on Second Street and Main closed for streetcar track installation will reopen by 6:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2. The streets were scheduled to reopen today by 4:00 p.m. but rain this week delayed the final concrete pour.
“We may be able to reopen the intersection this weekend if the concrete cures quickly enough to meet construction standards,” said John Deatrick, project executive. “Crews will test the concrete tomorrow morning and again Sunday morning. It will reopen before Monday morning rush hour at the latest.”

City officials expect sizable crowds to visit The Banks this weekend because of Halloween celebrations and the ice show at U.S. Bank Arena. Additional signage has been added in the area to help make the public aware that access to parking at the Central Riverfront Garage remains open, including the entrance on Joe Nuxhall Way just north of Freedom Way.
This is the last major street closure needed as crews finish construction of the streetcar’s 3.6-mile route. The first of five streetcar vehicles is due to be delivered later today, Friday, Oct. 30. Crews will soon begin a series of tests with the vehicle on the tracks. Details will be forthcoming.
