CINCINNATI – The two east lanes of Race Street between West Elder and Findlay streets are closed as crews perform emergency repairs to the façade of a vacant brick building near Findlay Market in Over-the-Rhine. The sidewalk in this stretch also is closed.
The two west lanes of Race remain open to through traffic.
Officials with the Department of Buildings & Inspections expect the sidewalk and east lanes to be reopened once the building is secured by Wednesday, Oct. 28.
The building is owned by TMG Investment Group LLC.
Pieces of the building’s façade at 1818-24 Race Street dislodged and fell onto the sidewalk Saturday. Barricades were put up around the site. No injuries have been reported.
