CINCINNATI – Portions of Race Street and Sixth Street will be closed beginning at 6:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, until approximately noon Tuesday, Oct. 7, so crews can remove two tower cranes that have been used to build the nine-story office building for dunnhumby’s North American headquarters.
Please note: Detours will vary based on the timing of the work being performed. See details below.
The site for dunnhumby USA, a market-research company, is located on Race Street between Fifth and Sixth. The 1,000-space parking garage is scheduled to open to the public before Thanksgiving. Offices will begin opening in early 2015.
This weekend, Race Street between Fifth and Sixth will be closed while the first crane is removed. Race will reopen and Sixth Street to Rusconi Place will close to remove the second crane.
Detour signs will be posted and police will be directing traffic in this area until the work is complete. Local access will be maintained during all closures.
When Race is closed, the detour will be Sixth Street to Central Avenue. Access will be maintained to the public parking garage and alley entrances on the east side of the block. The east sidewalk on Race will remain open. The west sidewalk closest to the construction site remains closed.
When Sixth Street is closed as the second crane is removed, the detour will be Race to Fourth Street. The north sidewalk on Sixth will remain open. The south sidewalk closest to the construction site remains closed.
