Crews will be paving 12th Street next week from Main Street west to Elm as construction of the Over-the-Rhine route for the Cincinnati Streetcar nears completion. This stretch of 12th will be reduced to one lane in each direction 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, to allow crews to pave the westbound side of the road. The eastbound side will be closed 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, to allow crews to pave that half of the road.
Crews have been prepping the road for new pavement this week.
Through traffic at each intersection from Elm to Main will be maintained while paving is under way. All crosswalks also will remain open and pedestrian access maintained. However, on-street parking will be prohibited both days.
Extensive instructional signage will direct motorists around the site Monday. Detour signage will be in place Tuesday to direct motorists at each intersection.
Crews will prep and pave Race Street from Findlay Street to Green Street next. Milling in this stretch of Race near Findlay Market will take place the rest of next week with paving the following week.
