CINCINNATI – Both sides of Court Street between Walnut and Main will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 22, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the delivery and installation of a power substation for the Cincinnati Streetcar.
In addition, traffic traveling southbound on Walnut between Central Parkway and Ninth streets and eastbound on Court between Vine and Walnut will be stopped for a brief period while the power substation is set in place.
Motorists traveling eastbound on Court Street will be detoured south to Walnut and east to Seventh and north on Main. Motorists traveling north on Main who want to access westbound Court Street will be detoured west on Central Parkway and south on Walnut. Detour signs will be posted and pedestrian access maintained.
This is the second of four substations to be delivered. The substations power the streetcar along its 3.6-mile route. The first is located at the streetcar’s maintenance and operations facility on Henry Street in Over-the-Rhine. The others will be located on Pete Rose Way near Metro’s transit center and on Race near Findlay Market.
